Advanced AI models and agent systems are fundamentally transforming how research, development, and data-driven decision-making are conducted.

As an independent consultant, I develop AI and data science solutions at the intersection of artificial intelligence and the life sciences.

To help build the next generation of AI agents, I am looking for a working student in the field of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Together, we will develop intelligent systems that analyze scientific literature, automatically evaluate data, and support research processes in the long term.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate open-source agent systems for applications in the life sciences
  • Implement and test AI workflows in Python
  • Create technical documentation and user guides
  • Design demonstrations and use cases for client projects
  • Support agile project management and product development activities

Your Profile

  • Advanced Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a natural science discipline with a strong quantitative focus
  • Strong Python programming skills (especially pandas, numpy, and pydantic)
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and machine learning
  • Interest in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and the life sciences
  • Structured and independent working style
  • Good German and English language skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Initial experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI)
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Experience with Docker or MLOps workflows

Position Details

  • Start date: From July 15, 2026
  • Working hours: 20 hours per week
  • Duration: Initially limited to 12 months
  • Location: Remote, with regular meetings in Giessen, Germany
  • Compensation: Compensation depends on qualifications, prior experience, and relevant skills in Data Science and AI. Please include your salary expectations in your application.
